Polyvore

Hiii,

I've known about Polyvore for qutie a while, but I've never used it. Until now! Two of my previous posts of today have been posts I've made on Polyvore. One is about Gwen Stefani and the other is Marina Diamandis from Marina and the Diamonds.

I get Spring Break in a week, and my friend and I are planning to spend all that time finding nice locations and taking the pictures for LB. New looks will be up in a few weeks. I promise *scouts honor*

Now, *yawn*, I think I should go to bed. I'm feeling kinda poorly and I have to sing tomorrow :(.

Galaxy Shoes

Hello,

A while ago, Ren and I made 'Galaxy Shoes'. Well, we didn't make them, but we painted them. I thought I'd put a brief yet slightly decent how to post.

Things you'll need:
Shoes
Paints (acryllic or fabric paints in metallic colours and red, purple, white, blue, and yellow)
Spray paint (black and blue and/or purple)
Sponges
Paint brushes
Tape
Plastic bags
Plastic gloves
A toothbrush
Extra canvas bags to practice on
Tissue paper
Scarf or surgical mask to cover mouth and nose

How to paint the shoes:

Before you start: Print out pictures of the galaxy print and practice on the extra canvas bags

1. Buy shoes.
We bought ours from Forever 21, but you can buy any pair of canvas shoes

2. Gather all of your materials
OMG this is starting to sound like one of my Bio lab reports.
The things we used
3. Put a plastic bag over your old clothes
Wear a clean and empty dust bin/rubbish bin/trash can bag

4. Go to a well ventilated place or outside
5. Lay all of the materials out and pick out the shoes, spray paints, tissues, plastic bags, surgical mask/scarf and tape
6. Put the plastic bags down and cover the heels of the shoes in tape (if you don't want them painted)
The wind kept blowing everything away!
7. Stuff the shoes with the tissues so they don't cave in
8. Put on the scarf or surgical mask
9. Cover the shoes in black spray paint
10. Put irregular, random sploges of blue or purple with either the blue or purple spray paint  (or both!) on the shoes
11. Cover the purple or blue with a thin layer of black spray paint
12. Wait for the spray pain to dry (3-5 mins)
13. Start painting in parts of the galaxy on the shoes

14. Use a toothbrush dipped in silver or gold paint (your choice) and spray it on the shoes.
15. Use a toothpick to make bigger stars (if you want to)
16. We decided not to paint the heels, but if you want to, you can.
17. We also painted these elastic-y bits on the shoes. They are painted a bronze colour.
18. Let your shoes dry for a while.
19. TAAA-DAAA, now you have your own galaxy print shoes.
The finished product!

Please, please comment and tell us what you think, and tell us whether you have done this and how yours turned out!
